Can I treat an old injury?

Yes! It is never too late to get therapy done. You still can reduce chronic pain and improve mobility with our services. In some cases, physiotherapist will work on the effects of the original injury that are still present. Some injuries such as fractures and sprains can evolve into forms of arthritis or other conditions. In that case, we will focus on working on the current condition that is causing your pain.

Does my insurance cover your services?

We accept health benefit insurance plans. We can help you obtain as much information as possible about your available coverage before you begin treatment with any of our practitioners.

Will I need X-Rays?

An X-ray may also be performed only if necessary based on the Physiotherapist’s findings.

How effective is Physiotherapy?

Research has shown physiotherapy to be very effective. In fact, it is commonly recommended as a rehabilitation and recovery therapy for most conditions and pain due to its high levels of success with patients.

What qualifications does a Physiotherapist have?

All physiotherapists registered to practise in Canada are qualified to provide safe and effective physiotherapy. They have met national entry-level education and practice standards, and have successfully passed a standardized physiotherapy competence examination prior to being registered with the college of physiotherapists in their province/territory.

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a Physiotherapist?

No, you do not need a referral from your family doctor or any other health care professional. However, a referral letter is requested by some insurance companies.

Do we offer direct billing?

Yes, we do direct billing if permitted. Please talk to our office administrator to find out if your insurance company allows this option.

What if I need to cancel or don’t show up for my scheduled appointment?

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. We require 24 hours, or one business day, notice of a cancellation by telephone. Late cancellations or unattended appointments will incur a $20 charge that must be paid prior to your next treatment.

Is Physiotherapy covered by OHIP at Vcare Physio & Rehab?

No, we are a private Physiotherapy clinic. If you require an OHIP clinic in Woodbridge, we can provide you with the names and phone numbers of clinics in the area. Patients who require OHIP Physiotherapy also need to be younger than 18 or older than 64.
