Are there conditions where massage is not recommended?

Yes, massage therapy is not recommended in a very few ocassions. Some examples would include diarrhoea or vomiting, around the area of an open wound, and certain conditions such as heart disease, asthma or epilepsy would require medical approval. Our registered masssge therapist will know whether or not you may recieve treatment.

Can I ask for more pressure during a massage?

We encourange patients to be open our massage therapist if they have any special request. However, it is important to remember that in most cases more pressure does not equal more effective.

How long does a treatment session take?

An average treatment session can lasts 15-90 minutes. Time may vary depending on each patient’s need.

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a Registered Massage Therapist?

No, you do not need a referral from your family doctor or any other health care professional

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my treatment?

It is important to stay hydrated the day before and the same day as your massage. However, do not drink too much water right before your treatment. You may also benefit from drinking water after the session has been completed.

What if I need to cancel or don’t show up for my scheduled appointment?

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. We require 24 hours, or one business day, notice of a cancellation by telephone. Late cancellations or unattended appointments will incur a $20 fee.
